- Framework
- Astro 7, TypeScript strict
- Styling
- Tailwind v4, default scales wiped
- Typefaces
- Commit Mono + Source Serif 4 Variable, self-hosted
- Content
- MDX in src/content/, no CMS
- Hosting
- Vercel — static output, @astrojs/vercel adapter for the one on-demand route
- Client JS
- None. One route server-renders, the rest prerender; neither ships a bundle.
- Declined
- Cloudflare, Convex, Next.js, shadcn/ui, Google Fonts CDN, CMS backend

My previous personal site was built around a pleasing design. This one was built by subtraction. For every element I considered adding, I asked whether it was strictly necessary and whether it provided value, and removed it when the answer was no.
The build itself is catalogued as 2026.05.
